I wonder what's the endgame with Google Japan's Gboard division, the April 1st demos were genuinely amazing prototypes for fun but has started to become a yearly showcase at random.
I think the cross links beteeen tracks on the flex pcb are a mistake. These links make it impossible to vary traction which will cause premature wear and makes turning impossible.
